If your airplane already has the 210 horsepower STC conversion and you are replacing the engine you may purchase the new engine STC here. This approval covers the IO-360-K or -KB engine conversion from 195 to 210 horsepower. This STC is approved by Teledyne Continental Motors. If you install a new, remanufactured, or different serian number engine you need this approval.

Why is a new STC necessary? The STC is part of the specific engine it is installed on. When the engine is changed the STC remains on that engine and the records for that engine. If a new engine is installed without a new engine STC there may be issues with the FAA 337 record showing the engine modification per the current serialized STC and drawings, the engine manufacturer's warranty or the aircraft insurance carrier should a future claim arise.
